Hi, I'm Dan.

I'm a filmmaker, writer/director, post/producer and dad in Los Angeles, CA.

For ten years I worked on E! Entertainment's pop culture comedy The Soup starring Joel McHale. In 2014, a sketch I produced/directed earned the show it's first and only Creative Arts Emmy Nomination (where we lost to Zach Galifianakis & President Obama). And more recently, I worked on S1 of Netflix's The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale. There's a lot of Joel in my resume. On the Netflix show I served as the post production supervisor and sometimes segment director, directing comedic sketches with star talent such as Jon Cryer, James Van Der Beek, Tricia Helfer, Elisha Cuthbert, David Oyelowo and more.

Beyond that, I've worked as a freelance post producer for a variety of projects and clients, working with post houses like Deluxe, Fancy Film, Encore Hollywood and Anarchy Post. A few years back I helped finish and deliver Beatriz at Dinner, a Sundance 2017 film starring Salma Hayek and John Lithgow, directed by Miguel Arteta. I also helped produce Dr. Brinks & Dr. Brinks, an upcoming indie feature by Josh Crockett.

In 2012 I went into the woods in my home state of North Carolina and directed my first, self-financed low-budget feature film Stomping Ground. It's a horror-rom-com about Bigfoot hunting. It premiered at the 2014 Dances With Films Festival and is available now on VOD and DVD through Brinkvision. Beyond that, I've made shorts, web series, music videos, and more. I write scripts with my writing partner Mike L. Kinshella. We gravitate towards horror genre fare, usually with a comedic and nostalgic angle.
